Growing up the valley, we had mostly stopped going out to eat for breakfast. Always slammed, $8, $10, $14 for a simple breakfast. All of the sudden I’m paying $7 for a tiny bowl of oatmeal!Being new to Payette we were thrilled to find the Hideaway. Meals are EXTREMELY reasonable in price. Not to mention yummy! The sausage links are my guilty pleasure. Oatmeal is just delicious. The potato’s are so well done. We’ve eaten breakfast here more days a week than we haven’t. If you want a quality meal that fills you up but doesn’t break the bank, give this place a shot! And maybe pass a bit of the savings on to the wait staff, they sure earn it!

I went here with my family, all of whom have slightly different tastes, and everyone found something excellent for lunch. The service was fast and, above all, friendly. I can't wait to go back. The Hideway Cafe has my highest recommendation.

My husband and I were so lucky to stumble on to this diner. The service was excellent and the food was great. I had a Cuban burger. It was unique take on the traditional Cuban sandwich and I really enjoyed it. The restaurant was very clean. We had really great lunch at a very reasonable price.

I had the California Chicken sandwich, hold the guacamole, and fries. Sandwich was tasty, chicken was moist and flavorful, bacon crispy, etc. The fries were alright but nothing to write home about. Staff is friendly and service time seemed reasonable since they were pretty busy.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to dream about the green beans and jalapeno poppers! :-) The finger steaks were very good too. My husband and I will definitely be eating here again!

We usually have a good experience here, however that was not the case today. We came in, ordered our food AND an appetizer. We literally sat there for 45 minutes without getting as much as a glance from the staff. Other people around us were served their food, ate their ENTIRE meal and left, we still hadn't got ANYTHING, no appetizer, no explanation, nothing. I would expect this from them on a busy friday night, but not a quiet Monday. We paid for our drinks and left.

One of my favorites. We went to dinner there just after the remodel, and it all looked very nice. It was for our anniversary, and we had the best steaks we've had anywhere.

This place is amazing. I DETEST GREEN BEANS! I ate all of my green beans before I ate anything else. I have no idea what the owner does to make them sooooo good. I had the 2 pork chops and loaded baked potato plate. The pork chops were almost as amazing as the green beans. The entire meal was fantastic. The staff is also extremely friendly. It’s a great mom & pop restaurant.

My husband and I tried this place about a month ago, it was real good. I took my friend there a couple of days ago and I've got to say, that place is busy. I ordered the Robin's burger and it was real good but my friend ordered the roast beef open faced sandwich. I wish I ordered that one. It was fabulous. Real potato, mashed potatoes and the beef and gravy is to die for.
